Fictional coin counter game: count, convert, weigh, and check

TallyQuay Shift is an independent browser puzzle made entirely with invented tokens, ratios, weights, customers, and rules. It is not a bank, exchange, cashier trainer, investment product, casino, or source of real prices. Nothing in the counter can be deposited, withdrawn, bought, sold, wagered, or converted into real money. The full shift runs locally in your browser without an account.

How one customer becomes a complete practice loop

Open either a three-minute Quick Shift or the untimed Endless counter. Every customer presents one of four tasks. A counting request asks for only one token family even though the tray contains several. A conversion request shows a fictional ratio and tells you which invented unit should appear in the answer. A weighing request provides the quantity and balance-mark weight of two groups. A verification request asks you to compare three samples against a reference weight and stamp rule.

Enter a number with the large touch keypad or ordinary keyboard digits. The +100 and +1000 controls make larger tallies faster without forcing repeated taps. Every edit appears in the step ledger, and Undo removes the last operation. Verification tasks use three direct buttons instead of a tiny text field. There is no drag-and-drop, so a token cannot disappear beyond the edge of the table on a phone or trackpad.

After each answer, the counter immediately marks it Correct or Needs review. The explanation shows the exact count, conversion formula, weight addition, or authenticity evidence. You decide when to move to the next customer. At the end, the customer ledger keeps every explanation visible alongside accuracy, best streak, and a playful practice score. Those values describe only this local game session.

Why the final rounding rule is shown explicitly

Some invented ratios do not produce a whole token. TallyQuay displays the multiplication and division first, keeps that result intact, and rounds only once at the end. Rounding an intermediate number can change the final answer, so the explanation makes the order visible instead of asking the player to guess. The rule is limited to the game’s fictional docket and must not be reused as a real exchange or accounting instruction.

The scale tasks use balance marks rather than grams, ounces, or market prices. Each family has a stable made-up weight for the current ruleset. Verification tasks combine two independent clues: a sample should stay within one balance mark of the reference and carry the wave stamp. A piece that is too heavy and carries the split stamp is the suspect. No result claims to identify real counterfeit money, jewelry, or merchandise.

Replayable seeds and a local daily challenge

A safe seed is a short set of letters, numbers, and hyphens that recreates the puzzle sequence. The shared link contains only that seed. It does not include answers, entered values, score, language, sound preferences, local history, or any person’s information. Today’s seed is calculated from the date in Japan time so two players can try the same fictional docket without making an account.

Completed summaries are stored only in local browser storage to make recent accuracy easy to compare. Clearing this site’s data removes them. The history contains the date, mode, completed customer count, accuracy, and best streak; it is not synced to a server or attached to an identity. Use Replay this seed when you want the same sequence and New shift when you want today’s sequence.

Touch, keyboard, sound, and accessibility controls

The game uses semantic buttons, headings, output elements, tables, and live feedback instead of a canvas-only interface. Large touch targets remain available at 390 pixels wide, and the results table scrolls inside its own container rather than pushing the whole page sideways. Keyboard players can use digits, Q for +100, W for +1000, U for Undo, Enter to submit, and A, B, or C for verification samples. Visible focus outlines and reduced-motion preferences are respected.

Sound is optional and generated locally with short oscillator tones. Tally feedback and the timer bell have separate switches, while Mute all overrides both categories. Disabling sound never removes visual feedback. There is no streamed music, microphone access, voice recording, or downloaded sound library. The timer can be bypassed by choosing Endless mode, and a Quick Shift can be closed early for a shorter session.

English and Spanish use the same transparent rules

The EN and ES controls translate the interface, requests, answer feedback, and explanations without changing the puzzle or correct answer. Token-family names are fictional in both languages. Proper customer names stay the same so a seed remains reproducible. Language is a presentation choice only and is never sent with the two optional analytics events.

Analytics is opt-in and separated from the counter

Before Allow is selected, the page makes no request to Google. Selecting No thanks keeps analytics disabled. After an explicit Allow choice, the only permitted signals are parameter-free shift started and shift completed events. The analytics wrapper rejects every other event name and accepts no event object. Amounts, answers, practice score, token family, seed, input method, language, sound state, accuracy, mistakes, and customer sequence are not sent to Google Analytics. The choice can be withdrawn from the game footer or the privacy page.

If “count my coins coin counter” brought you here

That phrase may describe another project. TallyQuay Shift is not that project, is not affiliated with its creator, and does not reproduce its title as this game’s brand, world, characters, token names, values, dialogue, levels, interface, audio, or software assets. This paragraph uses the search phrase only to prevent confusion. TallyQuay is a separate clean-room implementation centered on an original four-part browser practice loop and an English/Spanish touch interface.
